A MOTOR expert has revealed a clever 10p kitchen staple hack that leaves your motor dazzling.
He explained how the trick leaves your rear window squeaky clean as water will just "roll off" instead of leaving stubborn droplets.
Sharing the tip to YouTube the driver said: "A clean rear window is a guarantee of safety a simple potato will help you with this."
He then takes a potato and cuts in half before showing it off to the camera.
Next he scrubs the rear window in circular motions and says: "Rub the glass with it and the starch will create a thin film that will help the water roll off leaving the glass clean in any weather."
The petrol-head then proves the method works by spraying water on the glass.

He shows the difference between a side that hadn't been cleaned with the potato and the one that had.
There was a huge difference as the side that had been cleaned with the vegetable was completely clear, compared to the other one that was difficult to see through with all the water.
It comes as drivers have been left amazed by a 20p wonder goo that can erase scratches and leave their motors looking brand new in seconds.
If your car is looking tired and worn, the miracle product can give it a fresh lease of life with almost no effort needed.

Alex Drake, known on YouTube as The OCD Repairman, demonstrated how to use the fabulous cleaner.
He said: "This is a pretty cheap product but it did have good results.
"Any sort of black exterior plastic...it's supposed to rejuvenate it and make it look new again.
"It was definitely a deeper black [after using it]."
The product Alex was using was Mothers Back to Black Trim & Plastic Restorer.
The thick white liquid is ideal for removing "light oxidation, dirt, wax residue and surface film with ease", according to the manufacturer.
Not only does it "bring back that like-new colour", but it also forms a protective layer on plastic parts to keep them safe from sun, water and smog damage.
All you have to do is wash the area you wish to clean with warm soapy water, dry it well, and then apply a few drops of the Restorer.
