Find out which ones beat celeb favourites like Gloucester and Tebay
A MAP has revealed the UK’s top 10 service stations for foodies to enjoy, including a site with a whopping 16 restaurants.
Drivers can pick up everything from a budget breakfast to a full Chinese feast on some of the nation’s busiest motorways.
Research from car finance firm ranked the country’s biggest and best services by the number of eateries contained within their sites.
And while stations like Gloucester and Tebay have found favour with celebs for their up-market grub, there are among some of the most limited in terms of options.
Instead, it was Beaconsfield services just off the M40 that topped the list, with a stunning 16 restaurants on its premises.
Visitors can grab a meal at outlets including Nando’s and Pizza Express as well as the usual McDonald’s and KFC offerings.
There’s even a Wetherspoons pub, the Hope & Champion, incorporated into the service station itself.
And while drivers can’t take advantage of its affordable beer prices, they can certainly get a great bargain on the delicious all-day menu.
Behind Beaconsfield, Fleet services on the southbound M3 clocked 15 restaurants featuring a Pret, Subway and Chopstix Noodle Bar.
The M25 then had two entries to lock out third and fourth, with Cobham boasting 14 outlets and South Mimms 13.
The remaining six services were all tied with the later on 13, rounding out the top 10.
It seems the most varied service station grub is found in the South as the table featured just two entries from the upper half of the country, both in the West Midlands.
These were Hopwood Park on the M42 and Corley on the northbound side of the M6.
Overall, the South East was the best region, with three entries, followed by London and the West Midlands with two a piece.
An option in each of Eastern England and the South West completed the list.
And many of the sites with the most varied food options also made it into the top 10 list of best reviewed service stations.
Beaconsfield, Fleet, Exeter and Cherwood Valley all made the cut, while others were squeezed out by famously posh services like Gloucester and Tebay.
