RUST BUCKET

I bought Facebook Marketplace’s worst car… it’s 20ft long & doesn’t fit on the road – but what I found in boot haunts me

The car expert unveiled the worst car for sale on Facebook Marketplace

A PETROLHEAD who bought Facebook Marketplace’s worst car was left stunned after he made a haunting discovery in the boot.

The 20ft long Cadillac Coupe de Ville is so absurdly long that it barely fits on UK roads.

Edwin Evans and Will Chandler got their hands on the 1970’s classic motor after nabbing it off Facebook Marketplace for £2,900.

The two motors experts reviewed the car on their YouTube channel, Top Dead Center.

Edwin and Will were not surprised to find rust in the bonnet and in the boot of the 8.2L motor.

But they soon made a haunting discovery after clearing out the junk in the boot of the car.

The pair were left with their jaws on the floor after finding a “bag covered in blood” amongst the abandoned items.

The motor was filled with holes and made “weird noises” when the ignition was turned on.

Most importantly, the brakes were not working properly and the car was imbued with rust.

Edwin said that that they “wouldn’t restore the car” even though they could because of the condition of the motor.

The top half of the Cadillac was in poor shape and the bottom was no better, said the experts.

The YouTubers spotted oil leaks and pointed out a number of rusty and damaged parts to viewers.

One section of the car was in such bad condition with the car enthusiasts describing it as something “out of an alien movie”.

Despite the state of the Cadillac, motorheads will be surprised to learn that is actually completely road-legal.

As the car is over 40 years old, it is not subject to tax or a MOT and it can even be driven in cities.

The Cadillac only needed to be insured before being taken out on a spin.

After spending a few hours checking over the motor, Edwin and Will were ready to get out driving.

Edwin noted that the car seemed “quite hot” as they drove around and Will conceded that the situation was “alarming”.

It wasn’t long before the two pals saw the car break down and it had to be topped up with fuel.

Edwin was later left with his head in his hands after being reminded that they had forked out nearly £3k for the rusty motor.

And the pair did not hesitate when agreeing that it was the “worst car” they had got their hands on.

It comes as a best-selling car brand recently announced the upcoming release of 21 new models in the next six years – including a long-rumoured sports car with a bizarre retro look.
