Drivers looking for something high-class on the second-hand car market can pick up a Lexus LS for under £5,000.

The executive saloon, which is the brand’s flagship model that’s existed in various forms from 1989, can hit a limited top speed of 155 mph if you pick the right version.

That’s the same speed as the latest BMW M3 model from 2023.

We didn’t have to search too far to find a bargain example either, as is currently selling an LS model for just £4,795.

The 2008 model, with 249,000 miles on the clock, is a 600h model with a 5.0-litre engine.

That can produce a lofty 439bhp, giving it a 0-62mph time of just over six seconds.

Despite the high mileage, drivers should note that Lexus cars are known for their reliability and owners rarely report problems - even on second-hand models.

The example we found even comes with a ‘rear relaxation pack’ which includes full entertainment - presumably an enhanced stereo and sound system for the backseat passengers.

This comes as Lexus recently slashed prices by £1000s off the price of most of its lineup, including a £7,000 cut on an entry-level model.

Elsewhere, an iconic British brand has revealed its upcoming sports car that could break 65 years of tradition with its name.
