The 671 bhp DB12 Goldfinger Edition is a limited-run model crafted by the marque’s bespoke personalisation division, Q by Aston Martin.

It commemorates 60 years of the brand's association with the James Bond film franchise.

Only 60 of these exclusive vehicles will be produced, marking a milestone in one of cinema's most iconic partnerships, which began with the release of Goldfinger in 1964.

The DB5 quickly became one of the world’s most recognisable cars, solidifying Aston Martin’s place in both film and automotive history.

Sixty years later, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition continues that legacy, combining the latest luxury and performance with features inspired by the iconic spy.

While the DB5 in Goldfinger was known for its gadgets, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition focuses on providing a luxurious driving experience.

Painted in the iconic Silver Birch colour that made the DB5 famous, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition boasts striking 21” multi-spoke wheels with a diamond finish, black brake callipers, and gold side strakes.

The car's customisation is highlighted by a chrome 'Q' fender badge, representing the unique features from Aston Martin's Q division.

Inside, the interior draws inspiration from Bond’s wardrobe, showcasing leather Sports Plus seats designed with a Prince of Wales check perforation pattern, reminiscent of the classic Bond suit.

Gold-plated accents, including the drive mode dial and gear selector, pay homage to the golden tracking device from Goldfinger.

The attention to detail extends to gold fibres woven into the carbon fibre trim, with a subtle nod to Bond fans: the 'eight of hearts' is embroidered on the driver’s sun visor, referencing a key scene from the film.

Each DB12 Goldfinger Edition comes with a selection of exclusive gifts.

Owners will receive a custom car cover, a luxury key presentation box, and a Silver Birch Speedform model.

A truly unique gift – a 35mm film frame from the iconic Furka Pass scene in Goldfinger – will also be included.

These items will be presented in a Globe-Trotter attaché case, designed to match the car’s Silver Birch exterior and Prince of Wales check interior.

Owners will also receive a magnum of 2007 vintage Bollinger Champagne, individually numbered, along with four exclusive 007 Bollinger glasses, all elegantly presented in a Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case.

The DB12 Goldfinger Edition was created by Aston Martin's Q division, a personalisation service that provides clients with numerous options for custom details.

Much like ‘Q Branch’ in the Bond films, the Q team works closely with customers to design unique vehicles, from small customisations to entirely new components.

Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin’s Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, said: "This special edition celebrates that partnership and pays homage to perhaps the most famous Bond car of all time, the DB5."

The DB12 Goldfinger Edition is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine, delivering 680PS/800Nm for a thrilling yet refined drive.

Aston Martin that featured alongside Pierce Brosnan for Bond film on sale – over 20 years on from blockbuster’s release

By Jacob Jaffa

A VINTAGE Aston Martin that featured alongside Pierce Brosnan for a beloved Bond film is up for sale 20 years on from the blockbuster's release.

The car was actually owned by the manufacturer's chairman himself and bears some special Bond-themed touches.

Chief among these is the chassis number, with the firm specially awarding the 007 digits to the motor.

A 2001 Vanquish model, it is practically identical to the stunt car used in the film Die Another Day.

The film followed Brosnan's Bond as he thwarted a plan to allow a Communist takeover of South Korea.

In one of its most enduring scenes, Her Majesty's superspy chases down villain Gustav Graves across the frozen landscape of an Icelandic glacier using the Vantage.

While this car wasn't actually used on set, it did accompany Brosnan back in the real world as a press car for a number of promotional shoots and events.

Perhaps the most unique feature, though, is the fact that it comes complete with replicas of the weapons installed by MI6 boffin Q in the film.

The front grille features several ports for red-tipped missiles while the bonnet houses retractable machine guns (all fake of course).

Photos accompanying the listing on  show that the car comes with its original registration, as well as a special 007 logo number plate.

It remains in pristine condition and has only done 53,700 miles since new.

Many of those were under the stewardship of Dr Urich Bez, the former Aston Martin chairman and original owner of the car.

The silver body work looks to have barely a smudge on it, while the chestnut leather-trimmed interior appears pretty much brand new.

Under the bonnet, it carries Aston's iconic V12 engine, laying down over 500 horsepower and a top speed of around 190mph.

The listing states: "This is a great opportunity to buy a car with a fascinating history.

"Originally delivered to Dr. Urich Bez from new and then subsequently used as a press car and featured in various magazine articles with Pierce Brosnan as well as several Die Another Day Bond photo shoots.

"The car will come serviced and with 12 months MOT, HPI clear and no accident damage."

However, thanks to the amazing history it does, as you might imagine, come at quite the price.

The former Bond motor is advertised at £99,950.
