A FORMER McDonald's employee has revealed a drive-thru secret that could help hungry Brits avoid an awkward situation.
Drivers can be understandably frustrated by long waits and order mix-ups but they need to be careful when airing their complaints.
Kenya Humphries, who frequently shares McDonald's hacks on her TikTok page, reveals that workers in the kiosk hear and see more than you might think.
She explained: "Yes, when you go through the drive-thru we can hear you, we can see you.
"Just because you can't hear us or can't see us it doesn't mean we can't [hear you]."
Kenya even confessed that when she started out, she was taken aback by some of the "unthinkable" comments she heard over the speaker when motorists thought nobody else could hear.

She went on: "The names that we get called sometimes when someone has been sitting there for five seconds is unthinkable.
"I'd never act that way.
"I've been made fun of hundreds of times in the drive-thru."
One of her biggest bugbears was customers copying her mannerisms while she took their order, not realising that she could actually see them.

Not only that, but Kenya revealed that the drive-thru cameras actually "take a picture of you" as you wait in case there are any issues.
But she added: "It's on the system but then it just goes off as soon as your order's finished.
"And the camera is really grainy so it's not like anybody's looking at it."
Nonetheless, commenters were shocked by the revelations.
One wrote: "Wait, you can hear us?"
Another added: "I apologise for anything you may have heard my family say in the drive-thru."
It comes after fans of the Golden Arches were warned over a little-known drive-thru error which could lead to hefty fines.
