A NEW futuristic £80k 'Skye' Buggy with a number of incredible features has left motorheads excited after a full reveal.
Seven months after we first glimpsed the radical new Skye, it's time to step inside and see the interior of the dynamic new EV.
The Skye is priced from £80,000, with the top-end model costing up to £110,000, depending on the model.
It will be offered in two distinct versions - the "dynamic" and the "capable".
While the dynamic version is built for on-road driving, the capable variant, which will launch in 2025, is designed with off-roading in mind.
This version features upgraded suspension, larger, all-terrain tyres, and even comes with missing doors to help tackle the roughest terrain.

The cockpit is as stylish as you'd expect from a car designed by Ian Callum, offering a 2+2 seating layout with Callum-branded seats at the front.
Meanwhile, the cabin features a sleek, blade-like centre console that houses the gear selectors, with two cup holders conveniently placed beneath.
The driver is treated to a set of analogue dials, complemented by a central touchscreen that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for seamless smartphone integration.
Not to be outdone, the steering wheel is a sporty Callum-branded piece.

And the entire interior is finished in Bridge of Weir leather, offering a luxurious touch.
Notable details include Volkswagen pedals and Volvo air vents, showing that Callum has borrowed a few design elements from larger manufacturers.
Ian Callum, who previously worked as design director at Jaguar, commented on the cabin's design, explaining the approach behind the minimalist interior.
He said: "In order to maximise the room, it’s essential to keep the interior forms simple. It uses clean yet sophisticated geometric shapes that complement the beautiful forms showcased on the exterior.
"With the elegant simplicity of the interior, we retain the honesty of Skye being a capable and durable lifestyle vehicle, while offering a refined cabin experience."
On the outside, the Skye has a bold and futuristic look that wouldn’t seem out of place on the surface of the moon.
While it's designed primarily for road use, the Skye's off-road capabilities are evident in its design.
The car features minimal overhang at both the front and rear, chunky all-terrain tyres, and ample space in the wheel wells to allow for maximum articulation when tackling uneven surfaces.
The lower part of the doors is made of glass, further contributing to its rugged aesthetic while also aiding off-road capability.
Four main exterior colours are available for the ‘dynamic’ model: Blue, Sand, Grey, and Pink. The ‘capable’ model offers a different selection, including Aqua Mist, Yellow, Red, and Green.
Buyers can also choose an accent loop that runs around the doors, with contrasting colours depending on the version: silver, orange, purple, or black for the dynamic, or silver, pink, lime green, or black for the capable.
ALL-TERRAIN EV
The Skye marks a significant shift for Callum’s brand. It’s the first car to be fully designed and engineered by the company, which was established in 2019.
Callum's Managing Director, David Fairbairn, believes the Skye fills a gap in the market for a premium, all-terrain electric buggy - with a focus on combining both road and off-road capabilities in one unique package.
The Callum Skye is slightly smaller than the VW ID. Buggy, measuring 4,047mm in length and 1,900mm in width.
Inside, the layout features a 2+2 seating arrangement, with a focus on creating a "comfortable, refined cabin," according to Callum.
Full technical specifications for the car are yet to be fully revealed, but we do know that the Skye will come equipped with a 42kWh battery.
While this may seem modest compared to other electric vehicles, Callum is targeting a low weight of just 1,150kg, which should help maximise performance and efficiency.
Range is anticipated to be around 170 miles on a full charge, which should be more than sufficient for a buggy that’s designed for adventure and exploration.
Although specific details on the electric motor’s power output are not yet available, the Skye will be four-wheel drive, meaning there will be a motor on each axle.

This setup is expected to allow the Skye to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in under four seconds, which is blisteringly fast for a vehicle of this kind.
Callum also claims the Skye will be capable of a 0-100 per cent recharge in less than 10 minutes, making it incredibly quick to get back on the road—or the trail.
