THE top 10 cars Brits leased the most in 2024 have been revealed - from a family favourite to a glam supermini with electric powertrains.

The list comes as more and more drivers opt for long-term rentals over purchasing their own motors.

Top spot goes to the Nissan Qashqai, according to the report by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.

The family SUV, which is known for its easy drivability and tech features, can be leased for around £200 a month.

Launched in 2006, the car is now in its third generation - with e-powered and hybrid versions available.

Ranking second is the second-generation Peugeot 208, an electric supermini.

It comes after experts at Car Dealer Magazine also revealed a list of the cars that have depreciated in value the most in 2024.

Trade valuation experts at Cap HPI piled through the data of three year old cars with some 30,000 miles on the clock, and unearthed 10 vehicles that took heavy losses - including three EVs.

The worst of in percentage terms was the Jeep Compass Hybrid, which saw its value drop by 27.2% in the last 12 months - an equivalent of £5,925 in value.
