Stunning new £240,000 Ferrari 812 Superfast is Italian maker’s most powerful model EVER
The most powerful Ferrari ever produced is capable of launching itself from 0-62mph in less than three seconds
ICONIC Italian carmaker Ferrari have unveiled the most powerful model to ever roll off their Maranello production line.
The 812 Superfast grand tourer was shown off in Japan recently, boasting a 6.5 litre, 800bhp V12 engine capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in a blistering 2.9 seconds.
Built with 60 horsepower more than its predecessor the F12 berlinetta, and with a top speed of 211mph, the 812 is marketing itself as one of the most technically brilliant Ferrari's ever built.
First revealed to the public at the Geneva Motor Show, the Superfast has now been slapped with a sizeable £240,000 starting price tag and is available for purchase.
Designed for lovers of unquestionable power, Ferrari's latest 12-cylinder is said to set the benchmark for mid-front-engined sports cars, combining the Italian automaker's trademark knack for high-performance with sleek design and style.

Said to be the Italian's most environmentally friendly supercar yet, it produces 340g CO2/km, which while significantly more polluting than your average car, is a breath of fresh air in the world of high-emitting power vehicles.
Inside, Ferrari have stayed true to their simplistic, sporty design to highlight the fact that this is very much a performance vehicle.
But despite its minimalist interior, the 812 still offers a number of optional extras via Ferrari's Personalisation Programme, including an evolved telemetry system derived from the one aboard the iconic LaFerrari, and a high-end audio system with 12 speakers and a 1,280 Watt amplifier with Quantum Logic.
The Ferrari website described their new flagship model as "the fastest and most powerful Ferrari yet".
"The first and most difficult challenge Ferrari always faces when it decides to develop a new model is to push the boundaries of its own achievements yet again," the company said.
"This challenge is made all the tougher when the task at hand involves designing a new 12-cylinder engine, the power unit that hailed the start of the glorious Prancing Horse story 70 years ago in 1947.
"On this occasion, intensive research and development focused on exploiting Ferrari’s wealth of track-derived engineering know-how has produced the 812 Superfast, designed to offer its drivers both benchmark performance across the board and the most riveting and rewarding driving experience possible."
