New Porsche Cayenne breaks cover and the latest Chelsea tractor will set you back £55,000
It's a Porsche 911 in SUV form - but will the third-generation Cayenne have enough to beat rivals like the Range Rover Sport and Jaguar F-Pace?
THE Porsche Cayenne has been given a 911-inspired overhaul - and it'll set you back £55,000.
The big SUV is one of Porsche's best selling models and has been overhauled with a new sportier design before the third-generation hits showrooms in 2018.
It's longer, slimmer and lighter than the outgoing model helping it hit a top speed of 165mph.
That's from the 434bhp 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 Cayenne S model which starts from £68,000.
If that's a little too pricey, then the standard 335bhp 3.0-litre V6 will have to do - it's top speed is 152mph and is yours for "just" £55,000.
There will be some diesel options introduced by plus Turbo petrol models while a plug-in hybrid is likely to be announced early next year.
Deliveries won't start until April.
It might be a sporty SUV but the Cayenne still delivers on practicality and luxury - and you'd hope so for that price tag.
The boot is up 100 litres from its predecessor - there's now 770 litres of space.
And the cluttered button-heavy dash has been given a makeover with the introduction of a huge 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Much of the car can be operated from this display - including several different driving modes.
There is an off-road selector, too, along with a raft of safety kit.
