Sir Bradley Wiggins’ McLaren motorhome with five TV screens, Union Jack interior and cycle repair garage to sell at auction
The custom motorhome built for Olympic gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins could be yours for a very reasonable price
FORMER Team GB cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins' custom motorhome is up for grabs, and it could sell for a bargain price.
British Car Auctions hasn't released a reserve value for the modified Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, which has clocked just 5,500 miles since it was commissioned by the Olympic gold medallist in 2014.
The bespoke Sporthome by McLaren is wrapped in dark blue Team Wiggins colours, and features chromed wing mirrors and bull bar, along with eight-spoke alloy wheels.
Fitted out with the same team colours along with bright Union Jack decals, the interior also sports red, white and blue leather seats embossed with "Wiggo" in the headrest.
Inspired by Team GB, the interior has all the essentials for life on the road, including a double bed, combined shower/toilet, integrated kitchen area with fridge, cooker and wash basin, overhead lockers and a cycle repair area.
It has two additional swivel seats in the cabin area, along with a fold-down table and five television screens, two of which are connected to Sky.
The five-door camper comes fitted with air conditioning throughout, a skylight, shutters for privacy, and a pull-out awning.
Wiggins cycled professionally for 15 years before retiring in 2016.
One of Britain's most decorated cyclists, he is the only rider to have combined winning both World and Olympic championships on both the track and the road.
During his esteemed career, Wiggins won the Tour de France, an Olympic gold medal, five World Championship medals and three National Championships.
BCA Blackbushe will put the motorhome up for auction on September 21.
