YouTube sensation Yianni Charalambous talks Harry Styles, celebrity car wrapping and his new TV supercar show
Yianni Charalambous, founder of Yiannimize car wrapping, reveals the secret to his success and some of his mega-rich clients. Plus we run down the best cars set to appear on all-new Yianni: Supercar Customiser TV show on Dave.
He's the man responsible for customising cars for the likes of Harry Styles, Gordon Ramsay, footballer Sergio Aguero and JLS... and he's coming to a TV near you.
YouTube sensation Yianni Charalambous is the owner of Yiannimize, a garage in north London that boasts an exclusive client list of the world's rich and famous.
His work over the years has seen him wrap and design stunning interiors on supercars including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and Bentleys.
On his new TV show 'Yianni: Supercar Customiser' which premieres on Dave TV on 10th January at 8pm, the car design whizz takes on a Pagani Huayra worth £1.7m.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Yianni revealed how he once lent One Direction star Harry a Porsche Cayenne, which he proceeded to batter the rims of.
The Edgware-born Greek Cypriot also told us how he was asked to tint Styles' windows of his beloved A5 to avoid being recognised by fans.
Yianni started off with millionaires and billionaires as clients but after making friends with ex-Arsenal star Bacary Sagna his work changed.
As a Gunners fan, he wrapped several players' cars and from there on in, the doors to TV stars and pop icons started to open for Yianni.
When Marvin Humes of JLS wanted a Range Rover customised in white for his wife Rochelle Wiseman, he bagged himself an invite to their Christmas party.
There Yianni met Harry Styles and the rest was all history. He explained: "I met Harry Styles at that party, and we ended up getting on well. He's a great guy.
"I gave him my Porsche Cayenne and he took it, but I told him whatever you do please look after my wheels.
"I remember I picked up the car from him after he’d finished using it and all four wheels were kerbed, they were battered!
As for Yianni, he drives a Lamborghini Aventador S and a Range Rover Urban Velar. He admitted he can't divide the two in terms of a better drive.
He said: “I’ve just sold my SLS. They were going up in money, someone offered me a fantastic deal so I sold it.
“The Lamborghini is my baby. That is everything you dream of.
“But if I’m going out with my kids, or is pouring down with rain I’ll take the Range Rover out.
“If you’ve got a supercar, you need to have a Range Rover to go alongside it.”
In his new series 'Yianni: Supercar Customiser' he gets to work on hypercars like the Pagani Huayra and McLaren P1.
And he's proud to be making his TV debut after years wowing fans on YouTube and shared a little taster of what fans can expect.
“Each episode is 30-minutes long, but it’s self-contained," he revealed. "You can watch individual episodes without getting lost in the series.
“I’ve got celebrities on there, Bacary Sagna makes an appearance, as does Charlie Sloth – I did his tour bus. We’ve also got Sophie Kasaei from Geordie Shore.
Here are Yianni's top 10 car projects from the show.
Pagani Huayra
"It's owned by a friend of mine called Vijay. He used to have a Corsa back in the day with the number plate V3NTH.
Now, him and his brother own a fleet of other cars.
That's worth £1.6m, and it's one of one. It's a V Edition and they managed to get Mr. Pagani to make for them."
McLaren P1
“Unbelievable car, worth about £2.2million, it’s owned by a guy called Parham who owns LA Muscle. We filmed this car for the show, but he didn’t want to be in it.
“He sent a girl to do it instead to represent this car.”
Bugatti Veyron
“This was owned by a woman called Corinna. It was a browny-bronze colour. She didn’t like the colour, so we wrapped it in a pearl white.
“She sold her company, who use to sponsor Fulham, and sold it £17m so she went and bought a Bugatti.”
Lamborghini Aventador
“I had a million subscribers on my YouTube, so I put all the faces that subscribed to me onto my car, which was crazy.”
Bentley GTC
“This car is worth about £120k, the wrap cost about £7k. and this guy’s got four chrome gold cars – I’ve done them all.
Nissan GTR
“We wrapped this for Sergio Aguero in time for the Manchester derby. It was the same design as his boot from Puma.
Ferrari 458
“Valued at around £140k, we wrapped it in a sky blue. The owner owns a company like JCB. “
Lamborghini Huracan
“This is worth about £220k. We wrapped it in white with like green elements on it.”
Lamborghini Gallardo and VW Golf
“They belong to Alex, who works here. They’re both in satin blue shimmer. T
"hey wanted the same colours, they look like Smurfs. Twinning.
Knight Rider
"We didn’t actually do anything to this, how could you? I just filmed it for my YouTube.
“I’m from the generation of Knight Rider and this car was here and it actually talks! I drove it around and that was surreal."
Yianni: Supercar Customiser launches at 8pm on Dave TV on Wednesday 10th January.
