Now Meghan Markle can personalise her own Mini with indicator ‘tags’

After Harry gave Meghan a Mini for her birthday last year, we've come up with the perfect wedding gift

AHEM. Harry, mate. Where’s my invite?

I’ve had my tux dry-cleaned but I still haven’t had a letter “requesting the pleasure” of my company on May 19.

No bother, mate. When it does come through, I’ve sorted Meghan’s wedding present — name tags for her Mini.

Yep, 3D-printed indicator strips saying MEGHAN.

Mini bosses can’t believe their luck.

A new British icon driving a British icon, just as Mini adds Union Flag tail lights to its most popular cars and takes personalisation to another level.

From now on, all three and five-door Minis leaving the Oxford factory will have Union Flag rear LEDs.

Not as a fancy option, either. Standard. And they look class.

As for personalisation, two-tone paint jobs and wing mirror caps are as common as muck these days.

But you can go much further with the 2018 Mini.

As well as putting your name on the indicator strips, you can now customise the dashboard fascia and add your own signature to the illuminated door sills and puddle lamps.

Simply order online from £100-£250 and fit them at home. You could even have Meghan written on one side of the car and Harry on the other if you so wish.

Like the old KEVIN/TRACEY sun strips in the 1980s but not, if you know what I mean.

Now it must be said only the nerdiest Mini nerd would spot further updates on the 2018 Mini.

OK, I’ll share. The 6.5in central touchscreen is now standard, as is the multi-function steering wheel, as are the front LED headlights. They are now full-circle, not horseshoe-shaped as before, with integrated indicators. There’s also a new auto gearbox but, er, that’s about it.

The boot is still tiny and your rear passengers need to be Smurf-sized. But I’m pleased to report the engines, chassis and interior are as peachy as ever. I’ll go further, the fit and finish of the cabin is exceptional.

You chose well, Harry, old bean. You chose well.
