THE Gumball 3000 Rally is the perfect combination of adrenaline, showmanship and wealth for any die-hard car fan.

Each year, a mix of millionaire owners, celebrities and petrol heads take to the road in the finest supercars in a 3,000-mile long race across Europe.

Regularly boasting the likes of Lamborghini, Porsche and McLaren, the models at this year's event certainly didn't disappoint fans.

Kicking off over the weekend in Covent Garden, the 100 vehicles taking part were displayed for the public on Saturday, before the race itself began on Sunday.

This year's route sees drivers head from London to Chantilly in France, before continuing on to Italy through Milan and Bologna.

Contestants then move on to Osaka in Japan, followed by Kyoto and Nanao before finishing in Tokyo.

And of course, vehicles from the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Mercedes and a number of other luxury brands were included as entries.

Fans also got to see a Back to the Future-like DeLorean, along with a motor very similar to KITT from Knight Rider.

Over a period of eight days, drivers will race along the world's most stunning public roads (keeping to the speed limits), while the nights are all about living the millionaire party life at organised clubbing destinations.

But it's not just flashy cars and partying - the event also raises money for charity.

The helps to raise funds for a number of different causes, with the team who raises the most cash ahead of the event given pole position at the launch.

The Foundation has already raised almost double their £250,000 target for 2018.
