Top six cheapest new cars revealed – the bargain models you can buy today
There are a number of motors on the market for incredibly affordable prices, while still carrying their manufacturer's warranty
THE idea of buying a new car can seem like a major expense for a lot of drivers.
But becoming the first owner of a motor doesn't always have to leave you in huge debt.
There are a number of models currently on the market that retail for a bargain price, and come with the added bonus of a manufacturer's warranty.
has put together a list of the best value motors on sale today.
From compact hatchbacks to practical estates, these are six of the cheapest new cars around.
Dacia Sandero - from £6,995
The Dacia Sandero is UK's cheapest new car, despite recently bumping up its price by almost £1,000.
The simple Romanian build is practical, with five doors and plenty of boot and interior space.
But for the bargain price, you will have to sacrifice common luxuries like air conditioning or a radio.
Suzuki Celerio - from £7,999
For slightly more than the Sandero's higher range Ambiance version, motorists can get themselves a neat Suzuki city car.
And the Celerio comes with digital radio and electric front windows in even the most basic model.
Don't expect big things from its 1.0-litre engine though - it's very much suited to slower, busy streets around town than the open motorway.
Dacia Logan - from £8,495
Dacia is renowned for its cheap models, and their estate is no different.
The Logan is also pretty basic when it comes to interior features, but it is by far the cheapest in its category.
Folding up the rear seat, the boot has a whopping 573-litre capacity, giving you plenty of room for luggage, pets or golf bags.
MG3 - from £8,700
The MG3 has a cool, sporty appearance, and is the perfect choice for an affordable first car.
But where you save on price, you'll lose out slightly on driving performance and feel, and you'll have to pay extra for things like remote central locking.
And while its 105bhp engine might seem like enough, the acceleration leaves a bit to desire.
Skoda Citigo - from £8,785
Skoda's Citigo certainly doesn't look like it should be on this list.
It's got reasonably good handling, and comes with a sporty body kit to make it feel like you're driving a more powerful car.
But it's another one that skimps on standard features, with its base three-door model missing air-conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity.
