Land Rover’s new accessories make car rides a dream for your dog – and you can even add a puppy shower to your motor
Featuring a spill-proof water bowl, padded boot liner and a portable shower, the Pet Packs make driving with your dog much easier - and one feature could even protect your pet's health
LUXURY SUV maker Land Rover has just released a new range of accessories to make car riding a breeze for man's best friend.
The British marque launched a new range of 'Pet Packs' designed to accommodate dog-loving Brits.
With the company estimating more than half of their customers own dogs, the new accessory line is designed to help pets travel in style.
Features include a quilted liner, foldable pet carrier, access ramp, spill-resistant water bowl, and even a portable shower system.
Capable of holding up to 6.5-litres of water, the shower is perfect for washing down your dog after a muddy walk, and can even double as a surf shower for summer trips to the beach.
And while the other perks may simply pamper your pup, one feature could help protect their health.
The folding ramp lets pets walk into and out of the car without risking damage to their joints by jumping from a tall Land Rover boot.
A recent study found dogs are more likely to develop the degenerative joint disease osteoarthritis if they are constantly jumping out of your large motor.
The new Pet Packs come with a range of different pricing options, starting at £360, with the most expensive package costing just shy of £900.
Accessories can also be purchased individually from Land Rover.

Land Rover's product marketing director, Finbar McFall, said: "Land Rover is all about enjoying the great outdoors and that goes hand-in-hand with dog ownership for many customers.
"Our customers told us that the comfort of their dogs on car journeys is crucial. They are part of the family and we recognise that.
"Our new Pet Packs will allow dogs to travel in real comfort and make journeys simpler and more relaxing for animals and at the same time protect the inside of owners' vehicles."
Land Rover isn't the only manufacturer to cater for our canine friends.
Last year, Nissan launched their own 'Pet Pack' for the X-Trail which turned the boot into the perfect space for your pooch.
And in June, we revealed the best new cars for dog owners, with the Mazda CX-5 coming out on top.
