DVLA Personalised Registrations will head to Wigan for the auction, which is due to feature plates "to suit all tastes and budgets".

Reserves for the custom plates start at £250 - but a number of popular combinations are expected to fetch far more on the day.

Some of the best include a tribute to a famous Hollywood boxer (RO11 CKY), along with a classic Lamborghini finish (LAM 880B) and the perfect plate for a fan of the Disney film, Frozen (ELL 5A).

The sale will also feature hilarious registrations like DR18 BLE, OGO 555H and OFF 11T.

Potential buyers could land a plate with their name on it, with HER 811E, GR11 ANT and ST17 EVE all up for grabs, while you could stake your vehicle claim with the MY11 CAR plate.

And for those willing to spend a little more, certain combinations have be tipped to sell for thousands of pounds.

1999 A, 123 X, NXS 1 and 1 RUC have all been given a reserve close to £2,500, while 15 TAJ, 18 SKY and 2 FFS are expected to sell for more than £1,000.

But arguably the most "wanted" plate will be the WA17 TED reg, with a £700 reserve.

"The Kilhey Court Hotel is prestigious and is perfect for our needs.

"We have unearthed a varied array of personalised registrations to suit all tastes and, hopefully, budgets that will surely make the three-day event as exciting as ever.”
