Taking place once a year, the rally sees a mix of millionaire owners, famous faces and petrol heads take to the road in the finest supercars in a 3,000-mile long race across Europe, Asia or North America - with a different location each time.

Throughout the week, days are dedicated to cruising along the world's most stunning public roads, while the nights are all about living the millionaire party life.

Founded in 1999, it has rightly earned a legendary reputation as a wild week where anything can happen.

But the event has a rather exclusive flavour, with just 120 spaces available on average, and a whopping £60,000 entry fee.

Or you can take an inside look at the famous rally in the new book "Gumball 3000: 20 Years on the Road".

, the book is described as a "best-of compilation of the glitzy and famed international event from the past two decades" and "as effervescent and exciting as the road trip itself".
