Fast cars, party girls and wild celebrities – Gumball 3000: 20 Years on the Road gives an inside look at the iconic rally
Taking an exclusive group on a 3,000 mile road trip each year, the Gumball 3000 is a dream for any adrenaline junkie
FOR car lovers, it doesn't get much bigger than the Gumball 3000.
A week driving flashy supercars, letting loose at wild parties and the chance to brush shoulders with celebs is about as much as any adrenaline junkie could ask for.
Taking place once a year, the rally sees a mix of millionaire owners, famous faces and petrol heads take to the road in the finest supercars in a 3,000-mile long race across Europe, Asia or North America - with a different location each time.
Throughout the week, days are dedicated to cruising along the world's most stunning public roads, while the nights are all about living the millionaire party life.
Founded in 1999, it has rightly earned a legendary reputation as a wild week where anything can happen.
But the event has a rather exclusive flavour, with just 120 spaces available on average, and a whopping £60,000 entry fee.
Maximillion Cooper launched Gumball 3000 in 1999, with the event now attracting one million visitors live and being watched on screens in 100 million homes in 60 countries each year.
A long list of celebrities have taken part in the rally, including David Hasselhoff, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Dennis Rodman and Lewis Hamilton.
This year's rally kicked off in London on August 5, where drivers started in Covent Garden before heading to Chantilly in France then on to Milan in Italy followed by Bologna.
The contestants then moved on to Osaka in Japan, followed by Kyoto and Nanao before finishing in Tokyo.
Attended by celebrities Usher and David Hasselhoff, this year's event showed off some of the most impressive cars yet.
