Motorist uses fake Mercedes-Benz grille, badges and diamante trim to ‘pimp up’ £1,500 Renault Megane
A CHEEKY motorist has tried to 'camouflage' their motor as a much more luxurious model using a few fake badges and a front grille.
Pictures of the red Renault Megane were uploaded to Facebook, showing a distinct Mercedes-Benz logo across the front.
The 2008 Megane II coupe would sell for around £1,500 on the used car market.
But its owner would have you thinking it's worth far more, if only the disguise was slightly more convincing.
Along with the German manufacturer's iconic silver grille and logo on the front, the car also has a Mercedes-Benz badge on the boot.
It even boasts decorative diamante trim added around the headlights.
The motorist may have got away with the dodgy DIY had it not been for their equally shocking attempt at parking.
Facebook user Rob posted the pictures online after he noticed the motor parked diagonally across a disabled bay in a shopping centre car park.

He said: "I’m sorry but this just has to be seen to be believed...
"Not only is he parked in a (semi) ****ish manor but the dude has camouflaged his Renault Megane Cabriolet into a f***ing Merc.
"I’ve actually been crying with laughter for hours."
