Labour refusing to oust the Government they’ve crippled is a pathetic display of cowardice — their attack on democracy must end
Coward MPs
CAN Labour really not see how ridiculous they now sound to the British people?
Corbyn brands Boris Johnson “a dangerous Prime Minister, unfit for office”.
And yet, for all his grandstanding, he and the cowards on his benches refuse to hold a vote of no confidence in case it triggers the election they rightly fear. Labour are keeping Boris in office.
The PM’s argument, by contrast, was simple and strong. That MPs should allow his minority Government to deliver Brexit on October 31 or they should face the music at the ballot box.
The truth is this Parliament no longer has a moral right to sit: Attorney General Geoffrey Cox is correct about that.
Most of its MPs were elected in 2017 after lying that they would respect a referendum result they have since done everything to overturn.
Some have even switched parties, but refuse to trigger by-elections they would lose. Their rogue Speaker violates his historic office.
They have crippled the Government, preventing our country from being governed, but refuse to oust it out of fear.
They defy the electorate but deny it the chance to kick them out. This assault on our democracy cannot go on.
There are many words for these people. “Squatters”, for starters.
Open stupidity
NO wonder Labour are terrified of an election. Their new policies are demented.
Take the plan for permanent open borders with the EU, regardless of Brexit. All migrants would be given benefits, NHS care and even the VOTE.
What do Corbyn’s disciples imagine the public will think of that?
“Net zero” is not only the climate emissions target. It’s the number of Labour MPs who’ll be left in large parts of Britain.
Nigel’s nuts
IS Nigel Farage Brexit’s greatest enemy?
His call for Boris to resign is bonkers, as even his own supporters point out.
Farage is the thorn in the establishment’s side. Yet now he sides with them and the Supreme Court.
We know he is miffed that the Tories won’t make a pact with him. But it still doesn’t add up.
His Brexit Party CANNOT win power. It won’t deliver Brexit. Only Boris can.
Does Farage actually want that any more? It’s genuinely hard to tell.
Leftie Beeb
ANOTHER BBC presenter Naga Munchetty is found guilty of bias over Donald Trump.
This after Emily Maitlis was judged by the Beeb to have been “bullying” towards Rod Liddle over Brexit.
Ex-Radio 4 veteran John Humphrys correctly calls out the corporation’s “institutional liberal bias”.
You never catch their presenters being too RIGHT-wing, do you?
