The pair had taken heroin in the car, which was parked behind the couple’s home in Chester County, west of Philadelphia, then passed out.

Officials say the baby found their drugs and then took some after which he also passed out,

After the relative raised the alarm, troopers from the Avondale Criminal Investigation Unit and the Forensic Services Unit responded to the scene.

They recovered numerous bags of heroin and fentanyl as well as assorted paraphernalia from inside the family's home.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kevin Kochka said cops in Chester County deal with overdoses "daily”.

'INNOCENT'

But he added: “Any time incidents happen with children, it takes a different effect on all of our troopers because they're innocent.”

The 11-month-old was admitted at AI DuPont Hospital and is receiving treatment for the overdose, officials said.

Salzman and Birstow are charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and related charges.

They are being held in Chester County Prison and have yet to appear in court.

On her Facebook page, Bristow bragged about having a dungeon at her home.

Salzman repeatedly shared posts calling for the legalisation of recreational marijuana in Pennsylvania.

Earlier this year, police said a baby girl died of an overdose after her sick parents let her have heroin and cocaine.

Eugene Chandler, 27, and Shaleigh Brumfield, 26, were charged on Tuesday over the death of their two-month-old daughter Marleigh Chandler.

Their arrests come seven months after cops found Marleigh's lifeless body at the couple's home in Danville, Virginia.

Police responded to an emergency call to the address and performed CPR on tragic Marleigh on November 24, 2018.
