Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive documentary set to air across the globe

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive documentary in which they discussed their struggles with fame will be aired around the world.

Broadcasters in Europe, Africa and Australia have snapped the rights to the ITV doc Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, reports Variety.

The programme aired in the UK on Sunday night and reportedly “worried” senior royals after the couple spoke openly about how the pressures of public life had impacted their mental health.

Produced by ITN Productions and ITV News, the documentary will air in the US on ABC tomorrow night.

Aussie broadcaster Network 10 has purchased the show while TVNZ will screen it in New Zealand.

In Europe, it will air on TV2 in Denmark, RTL in the Netherlands and on Medialaan in Belgium.

BBC Studios Lifestyle has acquired the rights to the doc in Poland and across the African continent.

Meghan appeared emotional during her interview with ITV's Tom Bradby in Sunday's doc.

Asked about the pressure of royal life, she said: "Look, any woman especially when they are pregnant you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn – you know…

"And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well…

"And, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

Tom asks her directly if it is fair to say that it has been a struggle, and looking emotional, Meghan replies: "Yes."

During Sunday night’s interview, Harry referred to his relationship with his brother William— saying that although he knew his older sibling was there for him, they were “certainly on different paths”.

On Wills, the prince said: "We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy.

“But I love him dearly and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.”
