Cops probe sex assault claims against £700million tech tycoon pal of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
POLICE are investigating sex assault claims against a tech tycoon pal of the rich and famous.
Officers have interviewed Lawrence Jones, who has stepped down as chief exec of cloud computing firm UKFast following harassment allegations from staff.
Greater Manchester Police said it had received formal complaints of two sexual assaults in 2010 and 2013.
It added: “In light of these allegations, a 51-year-old man voluntarily attended an interview with police.”
Mr Jones, worth £700million, denies any wrongdoing. The dad of four, who is pals with Prince Harry and Meghan and Sir Richard Branson, was named in a press probe into alleged sexual harassment last week.
His wife, Gail, took over as CEO after he stepped aside.

Mr Jones told The Sun he contacted the police six months ago because he wanted to stamp out rumours which were “extremely damaging”.
He added: “Approximately six months ago, I contacted the police and was interviewed voluntarily because I became aware of some rumours circulating about me, that although false, were extremely damaging.
"I have fully co-operated with the police as I am determined to ensure that these claims are thoroughly investigated so that my name can be cleared. It would not be appropriate to say any more at this time.”
