Tories unleash party-loving PR girl to try to smash Labour stronghold of Easington for first time
THIS is the Tory party-loving PR girl who's hoping to smash Labour's stronghold in Easington for first time.
Clare Ambrosino, 31, - once pictured bathing in milk - is the latest young conservative candidate hoping to steal a seat from Jeremy Corbyn in County Durham on December 12.
Ambrosino - a friend of Boris Johnson's girlfriend Carrie Symonds - has spent time working or partying with past and present Tory MPs, including Sajid Javid, Michael Gove, James Cleverly, Liz Truss, Liam Fox and George Osborne.
A senior account manager for London communications business Newington, Ambrosino has also supported Carrie at anti-whaling events and supported her as her love affair with Boris Johnson was revealed.
And when she's not at work, Italian-speaking Ambrosino often shares pictures of herself on social media, including the bizarre image of her bathing in milk - although it's not known whether it's a painting or a photo taken with an Instagram filter.
She has a degree in politics and philosophy and is a keen rower on the Thames.
The Oxford Brookes graduate was recently named among the top 30 most inspiring women in public affairs after she helped form the Women 4 Westminster group in 2017 .
The organisation provides election support to Conservative women candidates.
When Theresa May was PM, Ambrosino also defended her after a disastrous Tory conference speech in 2017.
Mrs May had to stop several times to drink water as her voice failed.
A heckler then handed her a P45 before the Conservative slogan written behind her fell down.
Clare said she "wanted to hug her", saying that the incident had made for "unbearably uncomfortable watching".
She wrote: "Part of me felt like running out of the room, as the show made for unbearably uncomfortable watching.

"The other half wanted to hug the Prime Minister, who was struggling more and more, as series of small catastrophes were developing around her."
But Ambrosino faces a fight to beat Labour's Grahame Morris, who has been Easington MP since 2010 and has a 15,000 majority after gaining 67 per cent of the vote in 2017.
The mining area has always returned a Labour MP since the constituency was formed in 1950.
