Wolf Creek murderer offered deal to reveal where Brit backpacker’s body is buried as fears killer may soon die in jail
A BRITISH backpacker's convicted killer has been offered a deal to reveal where he buried his victim 18 years ago amid fears he could soon die of cancer.
Drug smuggler Bradley Murdoch set upon Peter Falconio while he was travelling around Australia with his girlfriend Joanne Lees in 2001.
But the Brit backpacker's body was never found and authorities fear Murdoch, who inspired the horror film Wolf Creek, could take the secret of where he buried his victim to the grave.
According to , police have offered a deal where he can be moved to a prison only if he reveals where he buried 27-year-old Falconio after he murdered him in a remote part of the Stuart Highway near Barrow Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia.
Murdoch, who is serving a life sentence, has always protested his innocence saying he can't reveal where Peter's body is because he was never there.

Grieving girlfriend Joanne Lees
Lees and Falconio were travelling in a VW Kombi van towards Darwin when they were flagged down by Murdoch in 2001.
He told them he he had a problem with the exhaust, but when Falconio got out to help he was shot.
Ms Lees bit and scratched Murdoch as he dragged her out of the car and threw her into his vehicle instead.
Later she managed to escape his clutches by jumping out of the car and disappearing into the darkness.
She hid in the bushes for up to five hours before she ran into the road and waved down a passing truck.
“It was either run, or be raped and killed,” she told when she previously opened up about her terrifying ordeal.
But police were never able to locate Mr Falconio’s remains.
