Premier League star Jordon Ibe charged over car crash after 4×4 smashed into London cafe
PREMIER League star Jordon Ibe has been charged after a 4x4 smashed into a shop in London.
The Bournemouth star, 23, will appear at Bromley Magistrates Court later this month charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The vehicle crashed into The Pantry in Bromley, South East London, at around 4am on Tuesday, July 30.
The smash happened days before Bournemouth started their Premier League campaign against Sheffield United.
Shop owners claimed the crash caused around £15,000 of damage.
£38,000-a-week Ibe, who Bournemouth bought for a club record £15m from Liverpool in 2016, has played in only two Premier League matches for the Cherries this season.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A man has been charged with driving offences after a car collided with a shop on Plaistow Lane in Bromley on Tuesday, 30 July.
"Jordon Ibe, 23, of Poole, Dorset was charged via postal requisition on Tuesday, 29 October with driving without due care an attention and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
"He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 November."
