London Bridge attack: How many people were killed and injured?

EMERGENCY services were scrambled to a "terrorist incident" at London Bridge on November 29 after a knifeman attacked an estimated 12 people.

Armed police shot and killed the suspect at the scene. Here is everything we know about those attacked.

How many people were killed in the London Bridge attack on November 29?

Two people have been confirmed dead in the attack.

Met Police chief exec, Cressida Dick expressed that the deaths were tragic.

Armed police also shot and killed the knifeman, with harrowing footage showing the minute a knife was wrestled from the terrorist's hands before gunshots ring out.

How many people were injured in the London Bridge attack?

It is was previously thought that around 12 people were injured in the attack but the number has since been slimmed down to five - two killed and three in hospital.

According to reports, three of those were critically injured.

NHS chief executive Simon Stevens said: “We can confirm that one patient is critical but stable, a second person is in a stable condition and a third person has less serious injuries."

He added “heartfelt thanks” to everyone who responded to the tragic event.

What went on at London Bridge on November 29?

A suspected "Islamic" terrorist wearing a fake suicide vest was shot dead by cops after attacking up to 12 people with a knife at London Bridge.

It's thought the attack began at a criminal justice event at Fishmonger's Hall, on the North Side of the river.

Two people attacked by the unnamed man have died.

Terrifying footage showed the suspect was shot dead twice at the scene after hero bystanders wrestled him to the ground.

Met Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu confirmed a number of people had been injured in the stabbing attack this afternoon.

Assistant Commissioner Basu said: "We believe a device was strapped to the body of the suspect was a hoax device."

He said that while authorities were keeping an "open mind", the attack had been declared a terrorist incident.
