Weight loss: World’s fattest man who weighed 93 STONE back on his feet after shedding 52st
A MAN once the world’s fattest is back on his feet after shedding 52st in just three years.
Juan Pedro Franco, 35, is walking with the aid of a stick since dropping from 93st to just under 41st.
The Mexican was bedridden and at risk of death but can now amble around and sit down by himself after surgery, therapy and dieting.
The accomplished guitarist said: “Just being able to lift your arms and get up every day, to go for a glass of water or to the toilet, makes you feel great.”
Juan Pedro spent nearly a decade in bed after his weight ballooned following a road accident and a bout of pneumonia.
He was listed as the planet’s fattest man by Guinness World Records in 2017.
He shot to fame in 2016 when he was pictured being taken to hospital from his home in Aguascalientes.
