Brit teen accused of faking Ayia Napa gang rape tells court she was ‘gasping for air’ in sex attack by 12 cadets
A BRIT teenager who claims she was gang raped was left "gasping for air" during the terrifying sex attack, a court has heard.
Speaking publicly for the first time about her ordeal, the 19-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, described in graphic detail what she alleged happened.
Her initial complaint led to 12 Israelis being arrested.
But they were later released after cops claimed she made up the attack after learning she was filmed having consensual sex.
The teenager, who is accused of public mischief, told Famagusta District court how she was attacked in a hotel at the Cypriot party resort of Ayia Napa last July.
She told the hearing how she had initially agreed to consensual sex with a man called Sam who she had met earlier that month.
The girl added:"His friends were trying to come in. I said no, no. I'm not doing that. I told them they had to go.
"Sam told me to lie on the bed and he put his [penis] in my mouth. He put his knees on my shoulders.
"There was a lot of shouting in Hebrew. I couldn't breathe. I tried to throw my head about and his friends were coming in all shouting and jeering.
"I tried to cross my legs. I was trying to throw my arms about. I don't know how many of them raped me. I couldn't see.
“There was a lot of commotion and arguing and shouting in Hebrew.
"Sam still had his knees of my shoulders. I was gasping for air. I managed to get away and I was shouting and screaming."
Dressed in black trousers and a dark top the girl added:"I was in an absolute state. I ran downstairs out of the room.
“I was screaming and shaking."

As she gave to evidence the girl's mother sat in court taking notes on an Ipad.
The girl went on: "Sam caught up with me and his friends were there as well. They were all speaking Hebrew. Sam said he was sorry and he tried to hug me but I was still screaming."
The teenager described how she was taken to a nearby clinic where she was examined by doctors and police called.
She added:"I was so terrified I passed out twice. I couldn't sit upright in the police car."
Her legal team say later statement retracting the attack was coerced out of her by police during eight hours overnight questioning without lawyers.
In an earlier hearing they tried to have the statement dismissed but the trial judge ruled it was taken correctly and proper procedures followed.
On Friday trial judge Andreas Papathanasiou agreed to her giving evidence once again and be cross examined by prosecutors.
She has denied a charge of public mischief and if convicted faces up to a year in jail and a £1000 fine.
Under cross examination from prosecutor Adamos Demosthenous she denied making up the rape claim after learning three videos of her having consensual sex with Sam had been discovered by police.
Mr Demosthenous explained how the footage was shot in the days before the alleged attack on July 17 at Napa Pambos Rocks hotel in Ayia Napa.
He said: "One shows you participating in sexual activity, you seem to be enjoying it. They (Sam’s friends) were slapping you on the backside."

At that point the girl interrupted and said: "That’s not true. I told his friends to leave. I didn’t have group sex with them."
She went on: "I will explain that video. His friends were hiding in the room. I had sex with Sam and I’d had a bit too drink.
"His friends had hidden in the room and jumped out. They started recording me and slapping me but I asked them to stop. It doesn’t show me having consensual group sex."
As Mr Demosthenous continued his cross examination and picked up a timing inconsistency in her evidence she hit back:”I had just been gang raped. I’d had no sleep. How was I supposed to remember all that ?”
But he added: "As soon as you found out you had been recorded you told the police you had been gang raped.
"That was your motive from the beginning."
He then read out a line from her retraction statement in which she told cops: "The reason I made a (rape) statement was that I didn’t know that they were filming me."
The girl replied: "I didn’t write that of my own free will."
She also dismissed prosecution claims that bruises and marks in her body were actually from a jelly fish sting.
The trial continues.
