Neo-nazi killer who plotted to bomb three mosques beaten by Muslim-convert in prison
A NAZI killer was beaten with crutches in a jail’s health wing.
Pavlo Lapshyn, 31, was rushed to hospital after the attack by Muslim-convert Denny de Silva.
Lapshyn murdered grandad Mo Saleem, 82, in Birmingham and plotted to bomb three mosques.
The Sun can reveal his attacker was Muslim convert Denny De Silva, 26, a gangland gunman — serving life for a 2016 hit.
De Silva was put on report at HMP Whitemoor, Cambs.
A source said: “Lapshyn was strolling through healthcare when de Silva grabbed the crutches and slammed them on to his skull.
“It was a completely unprovoked attack. Another inmate joined in on the spur of the moment and they set about him. If officers hadn’t got involved so quickly it could have been fatal.”
Lapshyn was jailed for a minimum of 40 years in 2013 after fatally stabbing dad-of-seven Mohammed Saleem, 82, as he walked home from prayers in Bordesley Green, Birmingham.
The Ukrainian engineering graduate also admitted trying to blow up mosques in Walsall, Wolverhampton and Tipton with homemade nail bombs.
Lapshyn had only been in the UK for five days after he launched his terror campaign.
