Rose McGowan APOLOGISES to Iran over deadly airstrike and claims Trump’s ‘terrorist regime is holding US hostage’
ROSE McGowan apologized to Iran saying the US is under a "terrorist regime" after President Donald Trump's airstrike killed the country's top military commander.
Rose, 46, begged Iran not to retaliate after General Qassem Soleimani's death on Friday, saying the majority of Americans "want peace".
Soleimani was the head of the country's elite Quds Force and spearheaded Iranian military operations in the Middle East.
His death prompted three days of mourning, UK and US flag burnings on the streets of Tehran, and threats from top Iranian officials, promising "revenge" and a "jihaad."
Twitter users weren't impressed with Rose's apology, branding her "" and .
Their outrage stemmed from a series of inflammatory tweets she posted today.
"Dear #Iran, The USA has disrespected your country, your flag, your people," she wrote.
"52% of us humbly apologize. We want peace with your nation. We are being held hostage by a terrorist regime.
"We do not know how to escape. Please do not kill us," she added, followed by the hastag "Soleimani."

Actor John Cusack also weighed in on the controversy, saying Trump was in "full fascist mode."

Their tweets come after Iran threatened the US with "crushing revenge" this week.
Celebrities and Democrats alike - including Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Elizabeth Warren - spoke out after Soleimani was killed by the strike at Baghdad airport on Friday.
Even more disturbingly, World War 3 has been trending on social media after the sudden US assassination of Iran's top military man.
Experts and leaders across the spectrum have been left stunned and uncertain of the future in the wake of Trump's shock move.
THREAT
This comes after Iran's defence minister Amir Hatami issued a disturbing threat, declaring a "jihad" in retaliation to the "unjust assassination."
"All friends—& enemies—know that Jihad of Resistance will continue with more motivation & definite victory awaits the fighters on this blessed path," he said.
"The loss of our dear General is bitter. The continuing fight & ultimate victory will be more bitter for the murderers & criminals."
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also declared "severe revenge awaits the criminals" behind the attack on their beloved general.
Two missiles fired from a MQ9 Reaper drone struc him soon after he disembarked from an aircraft at Baghdad airport.
Three days of public mourning have been announced in the wake of his death.
The dramatic attack followed months of fraught relations between the US and Iran which saw Tehran shoot down an American military surveillance drone and seizee oil tankers.
EXPERT CONCERN
Speaking to the BBC's Today programme, experts said the Iranian reaction has been "extraordinary" with talk of "very severe revenge" and "consequences unknown."
Other experts called the assassination "a powerful political weapon" against the US - all agree escalation and retaliation is to be expected.
Many think war is on the horizon but the president appeared to be unabashed in a series of irate tweets this morning.
"Iran never won a war, but never lost a negotiation!" Trump wrote.
