Authorities in Somerset, Massachusetts, launched an investigation in December after the mom claimed the psychic swindled her.
The mother first went to Tracy’s Psychic Palm Reader on November 15 for a tarot card reading.
She claimed Milanovich told her her daughter was possessed by a demon.
The mother also said Milanovich coerced her into handing over “cash and household items [which] were needed in order to banish the spirit from her daughter," according to police.
Milanovich said the mother needed to “purchase her daughter's soul back,” .
Milanovich allegedly stole approximately $71,000 from the concerned mother, according to police.
Additionally, the mother purchased products like towels and bedding for the self-proclaimed psychic, authorities said — but apparently it wasn’t enough.
The 37-year-old allegedly told the woman the money “only cleaned half of her daughter” and wanted $6,058 more “to remove what was left," police said.
The palm reader reportedly claimed she would take the daughter’s demon “and place it in [a] Barbie doll” and said “spirits would know what she was doing if she told anyone."
Milanovich was arrested Dec. 27 and charged with six counts of obtaining property by tricking someone, larceny and witness intimidation.
She was arraigned Dec. 30 at the Fall River District Court and released on personal recognizance.
In 2018, Milanovich part of her business included crystal light therapy, which involves lying in a bed next to crystals for up to an hour.
