Date rape drug GHB used by world’s worst sex fiend Reynhard Sinaga can be bought cheap from by dealers online
THE date rape drug used by the world's most prolific rapist is cheap and easily available online, a Sun Online investigation reveals.
Internet drug pushers are flogging GHB online and within seconds we found the substance, used by Reynhard Sinaga, being sold by dealers based in the UK.
Sinaga, 36, drugged victims after prowling the streets of Manchester looking for drunk men to take back to his flat.
Many web dealers boasted they could offer a “super-strength” version of the drug which Home Secretary Priti Patel has demanded a review into.
Another dealer boasted of earning hundreds of thousands of pounds selling it.
Police believe Sinaga used drinks laced with GHB to render his victims unconscious before he attacked them.
Our probe into the availability of the drug comes just a day after Sinaga was convicted of 136 rapes and sexual offences against 48 young men over two-and-a-half years.
But cops believe the PhD student from Indonesia may have assaulted at least 195 men over a longer period.
We found 143 listings for GHB on just one of many "dark markets" used by drug pushers.
'DARK MARKETS'
One British seller, who we are not identifying, was offering GHB in 500ml containers for £99.76.
The discounted lower price amounted to just £19.92 for a standard 100ml buy.
Another British vendor was offering the more potent version of the drug, called GBL, which has the same effects but is twice as strong.
The seller claimed the product was "certified 99.9% pure" according to German pharmaceutical standards.
GBL was being offered for £59.83 for 100ml, plus £2 for first class postage.
Both GHB and GBL are usually used in industrial cleaning products and are irritants.
One website was offering 100ml of GHB for £75.99, discounted from £98.79.
It offered shipping to the UK in 3 to 5 working days and asked for payments in Bitcoin - favoured by criminals because money can be transferred anonymously.
Another site was offering vials containing 1g of 99 per cent powdered GHB dissolved in 1ml of water.
The minimum order was 10 vials priced at £2 per vial.
£2 PER DOSE
Our probe found numerous vendors of GHB on dark web markets as well. One, based in Amsterdam, was offering 30g deals of GHB crystals.
The pusher boasted that he had completed over 8,500 sales in total which equated to over £360,000.
Another Dutch seller had listed GHB as available in 25ml packs in syrup form which needed to be diluted before consumption.

Although it is sometimes referred to as a date rape drug, GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is actually used recreationally.
But predators use the drug as a weapon to target victims.
One recent survey estimated more than a quarter of those polled were sexually assaulted whilst unconscious.
GHB and GBL are known as "G" and both come in the form of a clear, odourless, oily liquid that is diluted in soft drinks and swallowed.
According to official figures from the Office for National Statistics, there were 120 deaths in England and Wales between 2014 and 2018 that involved GHB.

But the total number could be much higher - GHB is not part of routine toxicology tests after sudden deaths.
Before Sinaga's conviction, perhaps the most high profile case was that of Stephen Port.
Port used GHB to kill and rape four young men he met on a dating app.
