LAGS have been allowed to buy Freeview boxes after moaning they were bored with nine channels on their in-cell TVs.
Prisoners pay £1 a week for an in-cell TV.
But cons on “enhanced” privileges can buy the £30 Freeview sets for the TVs at HMP Buckley Hall.
They do not have access to all 70 channels but can watch an array of shows. Freeview hosts Pick TV, whose shows include Fred & Rose: Britain’s Most

The report stated: "A common complaint about the IEP (Incentives and Earned Privileges) system among the men is that there is insufficient differentiation between the privilege levels.
"The prison has made some effort to widen this gap and offer greater rewards to men who have enhanced IEP status.
