Shocking footage shows Ana Maria Pal, 26, lash out after losing a challenge on Romanian Survivor.
She unleashed the headbutt as she was being consoled by a male opponent.
She unleashed the headbutt after opponent Andrei Ciobanu tried to comfort her by saying "It's hard, Ana, it's hard."
Pal is the second-highest ranking MMA fighter in Romania and started competing after becoming a mum aged 19.
She has a professional MMA record of 2-3-0 and is ranked second of the 15 active female fighters in Romania.
As Andrei tried to comfort her, she launches at him with a headbutt, which reportedly broke his nose.
BRUTAL HEADBUTT
He fell to the ground, clutching his face as Pal stormed off.
She was immediately booted off Romanian Survivor for the aggressive act after declaring that her rival 'deserved' the vicious assault.
The show's producers said she had violated the rules of the competition and called her actions 'unsportsmanlike'
Presenter Dan Cruceru told CanCan: "I saw a terrible moment, a shocking moment. I saw a competitor hit in the face by another competitor.
"Unfortunately, Ana Pal lost her temper. What Ana did was a shocking gesture, a gesture that we hoped we would not see.
"We will not tolerate such behaviour on Survivor, and our decision was that Ana Pal should not return to the island."

Andrei called the attack a 'very ugly gesture' and said the show had made the right decision to remove her.
Another Romanian fighter, Diana Belbita, spoke about Pal's actions on Instagram: "I cannot agree with the gesture tonight of Ana Maria Pal, it is not a typical gesture for performance fighters and I would like to avoid generalising."
