4-year-old boy shot in Philadelphia and cops say two suspects are on the loose
A FOUR-year-old boy was shot in the hip in Philadelphia on Saturday evening, police said, and cops are now on the hunt for two suspects who are on the loose.
Police say the gunman, who is in his 20s and related to the boy, was playing with a group of kids around 8 p.m. when a gun accidentally fired.
The boy was hit by a bullet and taken to the hospital.
He is now in critical but stable condition, police told
The man who allegedly shot the gun fled in a car after the shooting, along with a second man, police said.
Captain Nicholas DeBlasis with Philadelphia Police told that cops believe the shooting was accidental.
Cops are still searching for the two suspects that are on the loose, but are confident they will be found.
"I must emphasize that this male and his vehicle are known to the family and to the police department," Deblasis told WPVI.
"We found ballistic evidence and this is being processed by our NW Detectives Division," he added.
