London garage on market for £750k is more expensive than 14-bedroom Scottish CASTLE
A LONDON garage has been listed on the market for a whopping £750,000 - more expensive than a 14-bedroom Scottish CASTLE.
The 303sqft space in central London is in a 24-hour portered block of flats in Portman Square, with Selfridges and Oxford Street just a stones throw away.
The double space is in the same building as an apartment used for the F section of the Special Operations Executive in the Second World War.
But for £75,000 LESS eager real estate hunters could buy an entire Scottish castle and still have change to spare.
The stunning 14-bedroom
The plush Victorian mansion lies on the former Royal hunting ground of King Robert the Bruce.
The incredible original architecture and sweeping Scottish scenery is certainly a step above the London garage.
Although for those wanting a city experience, the London garage is perfectly located within walking distance to some of the city's best sites.
The closet tube station is an easy 0.2 mile walk to Bond Street or 0.3 miles to Marble Arch.
In 2016, a garage in Chelsea became a UK record holder when it sold for £670,000.
The double garage was between two large homes near the River Thames.
But the Portman Square listing surpasses the Chelsea price tag by a huge £80,000.
Astoundingly, for the same cost, drivers could park in a nearby NCP car park on a season ticket price for an entire 140 years.
The most expensive car parking spot in the UK was near the Royal Albert Hall in London and sold for £400,000, slightly more than half the price of the Portman Square listing.
