What is BBC Bitesize Daily and who is teaching the lessons?
THE BBC and the government have launched a new learning platform to help students who are being kept home from school over the next 14 weeks.
Launched on Monday, April 20, BBC Bitesize Daily is the government's answer to the homeschooling crisis, featuring daily lessons presented by celebs and 200 of the UK's top teachers.

What is BBC Bitesize Daily?
Following what would have been the two-week Easter break, children will start virtual classes launched by the Government and the BBC today.
It features hundreds of interactive lessons that are all in line with the UK curriculum and will be delivered over the next 14 weeks.
The package is aimed at minimising disruption to children’s education and providing rhythm and routine during the coronavirus lockdown.
Bitesize Daily consists of homeschool lessons for all ages laid out in a daily format for pupils to follow from home.
The homeschooling lessons have been created with teachers and other educational experts and feature a mix of videos, animations, practice activities, quizzes and games.
Is there support for parents?
The website will have guides for parents on how to teach their child, advice for effective homeschooling, and guides for pupils with special education needs.
On social media, parents will be able to access further advice about teaching via BBC Bitesize Facebook and Twitter, which will be updated regularly with helpful guides.
How does it work?
Every day six 20 minute programmes called Bitesize Daily will air on and BBC Red Button.
Lessons target six age groups from 5 to 14, and will cover what that age group should be learning that day in school.
Each programme will be available on BBC iPlayer as well as having its own regular slot on BBC Red Button.
From Bitesize Daily, parents and children will be directed online to BBC Bitesize for an age-appropriate "daily drop" of videos, quizzes, podcasts and worksheets on core curriculum subjects such as Maths, English and Science.
There are also suggestions on how to extend learning around the home.
How can I access them?
Starting at 9am BBC Bitesize Daily will be on BBC iPlayer, Red Button, and app, BBC Four and BBC Sounds.
Who is teaching lessons?
In week one students will meet Mr Burton (Matthew from Educating Yorkshire), Ms Webb (Primary), Mr Brown (Secondary), Ms Armit (Secondary), Mr Mycock (Secondary) and Mr McPartlin (not Ant from Britain's Got Talent).
Karim Zeroual is introducing Bitesize Daily for Primary with the help of the presenter of CBeebies' Amazing Machines, Grace Webb, on the iPlayer.
TV presenter Katie Thistleton introduces the Secondary school learning videos.
EastEnders star Danny Dyer, 42, who is a direct descendant of King Edward III, will provide a history class for five to seven-year-olds on Henry VIII.

Sir David Attenborough is covering lessons on the oceans, mapping the world and animals.
Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, 31, will help children learn to count in Spanish.
Professor Brian Cox will cover science, while Ed Balls is teaching maths.
Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker, 37, will also drop in.
BBC4 is also airing a special block of programming every weekday aimed at A-Level and GCSE students.
They will include history and science lessons, as well as Shakespeare plays and other dramatised adaptations of curriculum works like Pride And Prejudice.
