The video begins with the man in a white t-shirt attempting to slow the black BMW.

But the driver makes no attempt to stop, revving his engine and ploughing into the man in white.

He is slammed into the wall before being pinned and falling to the ground.

The car can be heard screeching as it prepares to reverse and the man is seen quickly getting out of the way.

As the car pulls backwards, a second man dressed in grey approaches the vehicle carrying a knife.

He slashes furiously at the car as it drives by, stabbing the back window and front door.

As the clip ends, the two men are seen running away towards a larger group before a huge row breaks out.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed four people were arrested following the incident.

Detective Sergeant Nick Speed said: “Following on from last night’s incident we have arrested four men but would appeal for anyone with any further information on those involved to come forward.

“The vast majority of this community are law-abiding and don’t want this type of disorder happening on their doorstep. I would ask residents in this area to continue to contact police with any information they have on those involved.

“We are aware of videos circulating which show the disorder and people gathering in the street following it and I would also ask anyone with video footage to also get in touch.

“In ‘normal’ circumstances this incident is concerning enough, but the current risk to the public makes it all the more worrying. We all have a responsibility to abide by the current social distancing legislation and while I appreciate incidents such as this will draw a crowd, it is also important to also remember the wider risks of people gathering.”

Anyone with information on the disorder or anyone who has video footage of the disorder is asked to contact the Calderdale Precision team on 101, quoting crime reference 13200209814.
