IF YOU had any doubts about China’s cynical Covid cover-up, the damning Five Eyes spy dossier should end them for good.
The shock 15-page report says there was evidence in early December that the virus could spread from human to human, but China denied it until late January.
Doctors who spoke out were silenced or “disappeared’’ and two-faced authorities shut down travel in their country while telling the world there was no need to.
Drawn up by the secret services of the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the report also shames the World Health Organisation (WHO).
China’s version of events was repeated uncritically by WHO, despite alarm bells.
It may be impossible to know how many more people died because of China’s actions.
But if the accusations against it are true, they surely amount to a major crime against humanity.
Beijing’s obsession with secrecy and saving face kept the rest of the world in the dark for far too long.
Our Government must back calls for the full inquiry that other countries are demanding.
The tragic victims of this merciless killer deserve nothing less.
