Captain Tom Moore strikes book deal worth up to £1.5m for his life story – and it could be out in six weeks

CAPTAIN Tom Moore has struck a book deal worth up to £1.5million for his life story, we can reveal.
The NHS fundraiser has also been asked to write a children’s book, a lifestyle book and a World War Two-inspired cookery book.
Tom, 100, who raised £32.8million by walking around his garden with his frame, is expected to again give the money to the health service.
His PR agents are understood to have agreed a deal with publisher Michael Joseph, part of the Penguin Random House group.
It is believed Tom’s memoirs, taken from phone interviews, could be out in as soon as six weeks.
The source said: “Discussions on what will be released are ongoing but any books published will go like hot cakes, that’s for sure.”
Tom, who served in the Yorkshire Regiment and fought in Burma, is in lockdown in Marston Moretaine, Beds, with members of his family.
Penguin Random House declined to comment officially but said: “When we are ready to announce something we will.”
