Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could earn £1m per speech after signing to same agency as Serena Williams and the Obamas

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle will “clean up” on the lucrative US speaking circuit, experts predicted.

The couple have joined the same “world-leading” agency as their pal Serena Williams and the Obamas to help fund their new luxury lifestyle.

They will host discussions and give keynote speeches to trade associations, businesses and communities, the LA Times reported.

Topics will include racial justice, gender equality, mental health and the environment — though reportedly not the Royal Family.

PR expert Mark Borkowski claimed they could earn £1million-plus each time.

He said: “I’m surprised they haven’t done this sooner. It will be one of the great income generators for them. They will clean up — they are up there with the Obamas.

“The speaker’s circuit is a natural safe space for them to plunder. And they are doing it in America, which is where the money is.”

The couple need to earn millions to fund their lifestyle in Los Angeles after quitting royal life.

They are house-hunting while staying at Hollywood star Tyler Perry’s £15million Beverly Hills mansion. They also need to pay for their own security — costing up to £4million a year.

They have signed up to the New York-based Harry Walker Agency, which bills itself as “the world’s leading speaker’s bureau”.

Perry, 50, is also on the books. Mr Borkowski said Meghan and Harry could be “well on their way” to becoming billionaires if they stick at it — but warned that the Royal Family may be nervous.

He said: “Every time they go out and give a talk it will reinforce that they are around, give them a platform to position their thoughts and they will make news.

“I would have thought that the royal household would be greeting this news with a bit of trepidation, because it is out of their control.”

Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, got a taster in February when the prince spoke at a private event in Miami for banking giant JP Morgan.

They were reported to have earned up to £750,000, and moved from Canada to LA a month later. Dickie Arbiter, the Queen’s former press secretary, told The Sun: “They’ve walked away from the Royal Family so now they’ve got to sing for their supper.”

The LA Times claimed the pair would not be speaking about their life as royals.

“Harry and Meghan will really have to up their ante, and they will absolutely have to tell some stories about the Royal Family.”

A spokesman for Harry and Meghan was approached for comment, as was the agency.
