A "starburst" of photo ops at beaches, pubs, shops and hairdressers will target Britain's apparent 'coronaphobia'.

Ministers fear that Brits will be too cautious to go back to venues such as restaurants, cafes, shops and high street pubs.

This threatens to stifle the chance of the economy bouncing back from more than three months in lockdown.

The campaign posters will show people enjoying sitting with friends in cafes, beaches, pubs and museums.

The slogan will read: "Welcome Back" along with ";Enjoy Summer Safely".

The Summer Consumer Confidence Campaign was leaked to Mail Online yesterday.

It shows the Government is preparing to spend £20 million on the adverts.

The PR blitz is likely to be accompanied with high profile visits by Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak and Home Secretary Priti Patel to hammer home the message that the nation is open for business next month.
