A MAN was "covered in blood" after being stabbed in Glasgow city centre just days after a major incident in the city.
Officers rushed to Argyle Street, outside Traders Bar, after the alarm was raised at 12.10pm.
An eyewitness told the he heard "loads of screaming" then saw that a man was lying on the ground covered in blood.
It comes just two days after the , less than a mile from today's incident, in which a cop and several others were seriously injured.
The witness said: "Literally just happened, was loads of screaming and guy is on the ground with blood all over him.
"Looked like the guy came out of the Premier Inn hotel."
Pictures seen by the Scottish Sun appear to show a man lying on the pavement and being tended to by officers.
It's believed the man was stabbed in a"targeted" attack.
Five police cars and the ambulance service rushed to the scene.
James Watt Street has been cordoned off at its junction with Argyle Street.
Inspector Gareth Griffiths said: "We were called around 12.10pm on Sunday, 28 June, to a report of an assault in Argyle Street, Glasgow.
"Officers are currently at the scene.
"We believe this was a targeted assault and we do not believe there is a threat to the wider public.”
Glasgow is still in shock after Friday's attack in the city centre.
Badreddin Abedlla Adam, 28, from Sudan, was shot dead by armed police after launching into a stabbing spree that left a cop and several others injured.
The "loner" made the chilling threat to friend, Siraj just hours before launching into the frenzied stabbing spree.
"THEY HATE ME"
Siraj, 22, told Mail Online: "He said that he was going to attack two guys in the room next to his because they're were making noise to deliberately annoy him.
"I said 'No No No' and that it was just that the hotels walls were thin and it was just noise."
But he said Badreddin told him: "No. They hate me. And I hate them. I am going to stab them."
Siraj warned hotel staff at the Park Inn but he later woke to find blood splattering the walls.
Badreddin, who is believed to have been in the UK for around six months after travelling from Sudan, has been described as having "big hair" and a cute face.
One fellow hotel guest, who saw Badreddin holding a knife, said he was "fed up" and wanted to go back home.
The knifeman was aged in his 20s and his mental health had been declining for around "three months".
It comes after Sky News reported that a liaison worker had spoken with hotel staff about 11pm on Thursday - warning of concerns for the man's state of mind.
It was further claimed that just minutes before the attack unfolded on Friday, the asylum seeker had spoken with an immigration solicitor on the phone.
The lawyer said he would raise concerns with a "safeguarding" team at the Home Office but minutes later at 12.50pm, the man began the knife rampage.
PC David Whyte, 42, battled back from a critical condition and once stale in hospital with their actions on Friday.
He also thanked medics who treated his serious injuries after he was left fighting for his life following the city centre attack.
