MADELEINE McCann detectives insisted they have "strong evidence" she is dead after uncovering a trove of pictures and videos allegedly buried by suspect Christian B.
German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters was speaking on Australian TV show 60 Minutes as they revealed some new evidence in the 13-year-old case.
Detectives confirmed they dug up 8,000 pieces of potential evidence which had been buried at an abandoned German box factory owned by Christian B.
It is alleged at least some of this disturbing material includes videos and pictures of his suspected crimes - with the files found on hard drives and USB sticks in a plastic bag.
The material was buried alongside his dead dog at the dilapidated and rubbish filed site in Neuwegersleben.
Mr Wolters however declined to confirm if any of these pictures and videos includes evidence linked to the Madeleine case.
Speaking on Aussie TV, he said: "At the moment, I am not allowed to contend on that, so I am not able to say if there are pictures or there are no pictures of Madeleine."
He did however continue to insist that Madeleine is dead, despite British police continuing to treat her vanishing as a missing persons probe.
The prosecutor said: "We have strong evidence that Madeleine McCann is dead and that our suspect killed her.
"We don't have the body and no parts of the body, but we have enough evidence to say our suspect killed Madeleine McCann."
Numerous other cases have since been linked to Christian B since German police confirmed him as a suspect in the Maddie case earlier this month.
Mr Wolters stopped short of suggesting that they believe the convicted sex offender might be a serial killer.
He said: "I don't know. I'm not able to judge this."
However, he did admit it is likely there are more victims of sex crimes committed by Christian B.
Mr Wolters said: "There are other investigations all over Germany.
"In every case, the prosecutors will check if our suspect is the suspect in the other case."
It took ten years for police to link Christian B to to the disappearence of Madeleine, who vanished while on holiday with her parents Kate and Gerry in Praia da Luz in 2007.
The suspect is believed to have identified himself after he boasted about being behind the abduction to a pal in a bar on the tenth anniversary of the crime.
Christian B is known to have been in Praia da Luz around the time of Maddie's disappearance, and made a mysterious phone call just before she was taken.
'TWISTED LONER'
Police have traced the call to the immediate area of the McCann's holiday apartment at the Ocean Club, Mr Wolters said.
Christian B is currently serving time in jail after raping a 72-year-old woman in the resort town, and has already been linked to at least two other sex attacks on the Algarve.
Described as a "twisted loner", the sex offender is understood to have been a kind of drifter around the resort.
He lived in squalid homes and out of his van, and made money through petty crime.
This includes reports he used to break into people's holiday flats to steal, as well as being involved in drug dealing and stealing diesel from cars.
60 Minutes reported a source who knew Christian B said he left Portugal after Maddie's disappearance and moved to the German city of Brunswick.
He is claimed to have run a kiosk next to a kindergarten and would regularly interact with the children.
And this is despite already being a convicted sex offender having abused children as early as 1994.
"There’s a kindergarten and a junior school next door, they spent their pocket money on sweets here. He gave the kids lollies for free," the source said.
And reportedly in 2013, police found audio of what they believe to Christian B talking about his sex fantasies in a paedo chat room.
"I will document exactly how they will be tortured," he is alleged to have said.
Crime analyst Mark Hofmann, who works with German police, said Christian B's criminal past "absolutely" means he is a credible suspect in the Madeleine case.
"Number one, he was there. And because most serial offenders, it’s all about power and control," he told 60 Minutes.
"They like to do it in environments which are their comfort zone.
“So they are doing what they do near to the places where they live.”
Experts have said Christian B matches the profile of a Jimmy Savile-style “paraphiliac”, who targets victims of all ages.
His ex-lawyer Serafim Vieira has described him as having "'psychopathic traits" and admitted he could be responsible for Madeleine's abduction.
However, the sex offender has so far not been charged with anything to do with the Madeleine case - despite German cops boasting "concrete evidence".
Madeleine is believed to have been snatched from the Ocean Club apartment where she was sleeping alongside her twin siblings Sean and Amelie on May 3, 2007.
Kate and Gerry were having dinner with pals just a one minute walk away when the tot vanished - with the mum discovering her daughter was missing just after 10pm.
The mum and dad - both doctors - have since poured their into efforts finding her and have never given up hope that Madeleine may be alive.
Madeleine would have turned 17 last month, and the family have described the identification of Christian B as "potentially very significant".

However, a series of bungles in the police investigation have cast doubt over whether prosecutors can secure a conviction.
The 43-year-old also has at least two previous convictions for sex crimes against young girls.

The suspect is known to have lived in the hills above Praia da Luz just 11 minutes drive away when the little girl disappeared.
He also had a rundown and dilapidated shack only two miles away from the McCann's holiday let - and is known to have owned a mobile home he boasted could carry "drugs and children".
