Shamed footie paedo Adam Johnson ‘buzzing’ his former side Sunderland secure Premier League safety
Ex-England perv celebrates Black Cats' great escape from HMP Moorland
Jailed football paedo Adam Johnson is “buzzing” his former side Sunderland secured Premier League safety.
As the Black Cats beat Everton 3-0 last night his sister and freedom campaigner Faye tweeted: “Well done to the players, staff and fans. AJ will be buzzing.”
Fans slammed Faye for the tweet with one replying: “Im sure Sunderland fans will be happy that a convicted paedophile is buzzing.”
Others criticised her for sticking by her brother despite his conviction for having sexual activity with a child.
Johnson is serving six years in HMP Moorland for grooming a 15-year-old girl.
Former lags revealed Johnson has his own room in the Category C jail and access to television, Playstation, a pool room, well-equipped gym and an all-weather football pitch.
It is not known whether Johnson was allowed to watch the match live as his former club escaped relegation.
But his sister's tweet confirms he still follows the team which paid him £60,000-a-week before his conviction.
The winger, who also has 12 England caps, even played for Sunderland 20 times scoring three times until he admitted his seedy crimes.
Johnson was convicted of one charge of sexual activity with a child in March after meeting a 15-year-old girl in his car.
The sex-obsessed football ace initially vowed to fight the claims but sensationally changed his plea on some and was found guilty of others.
When police raided his home they found a huge stash of porn, including bestiality videos.
The 28-year-old Sunderland and England winger is also believed to have contracted two sexually transmitted diseases from various affairs.
He was dumped in the dock by his girlfriend Stacey Flounders, who is mother to their daughter Ayla.
She still regularly visits him in jail.
Johnson's sister Faye has campaigned tirelessly to clear Johnson's name, running a Facebook page defending her brother.
She gained the support of Katie Price in her quest to win him an appeal and also sent a "good luck" message to Ched Evans after his appeal against a rape conviction was upheld.
