Police warning after ‘violent’ mental health patient goes missing while on escorted leave
Members of the public are warned not to approach the man as he could be dangerous
COPS are trying to find a "violent" mental health patient who has gone missing from a psychiatric facility.
Amardeep Sahota absconded while on escorted leave from a facility in Ealing, west London.
The 40-year-old was last seen at Broadway, Uxbridge Road, at around 11.30am on Thursday.
Members of the public are warned not to approach Mr Sahota but to call 999 immediately if they see him.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "He has been receiving treatment at the mental health unit after being detained under sections 37 and 41 of the Mental Health Act and can be violent."
He is described as Asian, of stocky build, 5ft 9in and is bald.
He was wearing a white shirt, blue jumper, jeans and black shoes.
Cops believe he could be in the areas of Ealing, Southall or Bushey in Hertfordshire.
