Jackson said it "says something when you're at a protest, you have more minorities on the police side than you have in a violent crowd and you have white people screaming at Black officers: 'You have the biggest nose I've ever seen.'"

He called out protesters, who he claimed see Black police officers as "not Black" because they are cops.

"I'm suspicious I look like someone that these people would then call the police on," Jackson said.

Jackson has been with Portland Police Department for around a decade, reported.

He described his experience on being a cop who is Black at protests.

"I got to see folks that really do want change like the rest of us that have been impacted by racism, and then I got to see those people get faded out by people that have no idea what racism is about, never experienced racism," Jackson said.

"They don't even know that the tactics that they are using are the same tactics that were used against my people... They don't even know the history... It's actually frightening."

The cop himself was a history major at Portland State University.

Jackson alleged during protests, he saw a Black-owned business in a "gentrified community" was one of the first that was looted.

"It's divisive. It's hurting the community," he claimed.

He spoke out about white protesters calling out cops that he said he's seen help others.

"When you're standing on the line and they're getting called those names and they're being accused of being racist, when you've seen those officers helping people of colour getting blood on them trying to save someone's life whos been shot," Jackson.

He said white officers defended him while on calls at work after being called the N-word.

The cop claimed he himself has been "hit with a full beer can" had a rock thrown at his chest, and been hit with a frozen water bottle.

Jackson's comments came amid ongoing protests following the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, died on May 25 after , cop kneeled on his neck during an arrest.
