Who is Florida Representative Ted Yoho and what did he say to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?
FLORIDA Representative Ted Yoho got into a heated debate with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Monday and reportedly called her a f*****g b***h.
Yoho approached her on the House steps as they were discussing her position on unemployment and crime in New York City.
Here is more about the argument between the lawmakers.
Who is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?
is an American politician serving as the US Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district.
The district includes the eastern part of the Bronx and portions of north-central Queens in New York City.
She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Who is Ted Yoho?
Ted Yoho, 65, is the US Representative for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District since 2013.
He is a member of the Republican Party.
In December 2019, Yoho announced he will not run for reelection to Congress in 2020.
Why did Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ted Yoho argue?
Yoho told Ocasio-Cortez that she was “disgusting” for suggesting earlier this month that the recent surge in New York City crime is because people are “stealing bread to feed their kids,”
She told Yoho, who has been in office since 2013, that he was being “rude.”
At that point, Ocasio-Cortez headed into the building to cast a vote, while Yoho and Republican Texas Representative Roger Williams walked toward the House office buildings.
Per The Hill, Yoho said aloud: “f*****g b***h.”
Ocasio-Cortez had previously stated in a Facebook virtual town hall that people are struggling amid the pandemic due to lack of funds.

“They feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry,” she mentioned.
Yoho told Ocasio-Cortez of her remarks: “You are out of your freaking mind.”
She confirmed the confrontation occurred saying: “I never spoke to Rep. Yoho before he decided to accost me on the steps of the nation’s Capitol yesterday.
“Believe it or not, I usually get along fine w/ my GOP colleagues.
“We know how to check our legislative sparring at the committee door,” she wrote.
“But hey, ‘b*****s’ get stuff done,” she concluded.
What has Yoho said about the altercation?
On Tuesday, a spokesperson from that Yoho “had a brief member to member conversation on the steps of the Capitol” on Monday.
Yoho’s office disputed the report about him allegedly calling Ocasio-Cortez a “b***h,” and said Yoho didn’t call her “any name for that matter.”
The office, however, did admit Yoho “made a brief comment to himself as he walked away summarizing what he believes her policies to be: bull***t.”
The heated exchange reportedly happened after Ocasio-Cortez blamed the spike on the economic decline related to the
